Polaris posts Huntsville jobs, new facility on track

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Polaris is now hiring in Huntsville. Company leaders announced 11 months ago their intentions to build an advanced manufacturing facility, and bring in more than 1,500 jobs.

Some of those jobs are now posted online. Madison County Commission Chairman Dale Strong said everything is on track and Polaris has come through on all they promised up to this point.

A new billboard announcing Polaris's job openings is now up on I-565 between Greenbrier Road and Mooresville Road in Limestone County.

That's near their new advanced manufacturing facility that's still under construction. Within the last few days, the company posted positions for things like welders, robot programmers, and technicians.

There are warehouse and manufacturing openings also listed on their website. Commissioner Strong said Polaris is investing tens of millions of dollars into the local economy and he says the best is yet to come.

"You look at the multiple products that they produce and I think that it's actually going to be more than the 1,600 jobs at the end of the day," said Strong. "I think they'll never look back and never regret their investment in North Alabama."
