Driver leads authorities on high-speed chase, hits Huntsville home

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A man faces a list of traffic charges after a police chase reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour that resulted in a crash.

State troopers said the incident started just before 10 a.m. Sunday, after authorities clocked a car traveling at a high rate of speed on I-565.

The driver failed to stop, starting a pursuit that led onto Holiday Drive, just south of Bob Wallace Avenue and west of Triana Boulevard.

At this point, the driver hit a parked car before driving onto a residential property, hitting the front portion of a home.

The driver, Booquin Dickerson, was not injured, nor were the occupants of the home, which sustained some minor damage.

Troopers determined the car Dickerson was driving had been stolen. Dickerson also had a felony warrant out at the time of his arrest Sunday.

Dickerson was booked at the Madison County Jail.
