Police identify man found dead in vehicle on Golf Road

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Police have identified the man that was found dead in a vehicle behind a liquor store on Memorial Parkway and Golf Road Friday afternoon.

According to officials, the victim Michael Paul Boutin, 52 of Huntsville, was found in a van with a gunshot wound.

Investigators on the scene said they're following up on a lead that took them to Park Place Apartments, which is also on Golf Road. Investigators are conducting interviews and trying to link possible evidence at the apartment complex to the body found at the liquor store.

Police say the investigation is complicated and it could take a while to determine exactly what happened.

As of right now there are no further details and is still being treated as a death investigation.
