HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Huntsville police are looking for the person responsible for a carjacking at one scene, and the robbery of four people at another.

According to police, a man carjacked someone in the 2200 block of Hammonds Avenue around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The suspect then reportedly drove the stolen vehicle to St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Beasley Avenue, and robbed four people at that location before driving off.

Police said the suspect is armed with a gun. He is suspected in the theft of a white Jeep Patriot about a week ago.

St. Joseph's is on the same site as Holy Family School, where on Sunday, a school employee was robbed at gunpoint. No arrests were made in that case. It is not clear at this point if police believe there is a connection between the two robberies at the same location.

No arrests have been made; police are following several leads in the case, and the investigation is ongoing.
