HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The Cummings Research Park team is looking to move the park forward.
On Wednesday, a master plan open house was held at Columbia High School.
This gave people in the community an opportunity to give their input on how they want the park to develop.
"We want to increase the work and play aspect, and certainly want to look at future opportunities for potential live aspects either inside the park, or adjacent to the park," said Erin Koshet, Director of Cummings Research Park.
"We are thinking about expanding our business into different ventures, other then engineering and research analyst. Trying to figure out what the Cummings Research Park area would allow as far as different business types, what buildings could be built or if it's all in existing," said Angela Ozbolt, Huntsville Business Owner.
There are currently more than 300 companies in the Park and 29,000 employees.
The master plan team will hold another open house Thursday at 5 p.m.
