(HUNTSVILLE) - The Madison County Health Department has begun its annual free influenza vaccination.
The health department staff will provide information and administer vaccinations. This time of year is called "flu season." In the United States, flu season occurs in the winter; and the flu outbreaks can happen during the peak, as early as October and can last as late as May. Influenza viruses cause the flu and spread mainly by coughing, sneezing, and close contact.
