HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - You may see a problem in the city that you want fixed, and the City of Huntsville wants to hear from you.
SeeClickFix is how Huntsville City Hall delegates and solves issues you report to them.
SeeClickFix is a tool on WAFF.com for easy access to Huntsville Connect.
"The app a is dream for our department, because when the citizens submits a service request it's already sorted by category and it goes to the correct department," said Huntsville Communications Director Kelly Schrimsher.
Schrimsher says the best avenue to get a service request acknowledged or fixed right away is by using the mobile app. By submitting a photo, the more than 50 service representatives in 24 departments, like Jennifer Dowdy at Huntsville Public Works Department, can get to the bottom of it.
"We give it to four of our maintenance superintendents, they take it, they'll check on it, they give it back to me. They let us know what's going on because we only see one side of the request, so it's very beneficial to us if people can post a photo of some kind," said Dowdy.
They get requests like potholes, litter, trash collection, high weeds, broken street lights, traffic signals, abandoned cars, and drainage among other issues prone to every city.
"You got to be responsive," said Mayor Tommy Battle. "We're 215 square miles, being 215 square miles means we need a lot of set of eyes looking at what we're doing and giving us information that we can respond to so that we are responsive government."
With city hall at your finger tips, all it takes is two quick steps to state your case by mobile app or web.
