MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - The Madison County District Attorney's Office is waiting on autopsy results of all four victims before filing more charges against Christopher Henderson and Rhonda Carlson. Both already face one capital murder charge.
Madison County prosecutor Bob Becher said the Madison County District Attorney's Office will take some time as evidence is filtered into them.
"The first thing we have to do is wait until we have all of the facts. And we're still waiting on a lot of different things," said Becher. "We're waiting on things about the fire and autopsies." .
Court documents show Kristen Henderson was nine months pregnant at the time of her death. WAFF asked Becher if the fact could bring on more charges.
"If it's established that the woman was pregnant and she was killed, obviously the baby inside her was killed, too, that's just the same as if you had two people standing right next to each other and they were both killed," said Becher.
Authorities are still trying to piece together all of the pieces from this crime.
"I think the part the upsets people the most is that you have completely innocent children victims who weren't involved in any custody battle or drug deal gone bad or fight at work or anything else," said Becher. "They're just kids."
Rhonda Carlson and Christopher Henderson remain behind bars in the Metro Jail with no bond.
