Decatur PD searches for motorcycle club shooting suspect
DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - Decatur police are searching for a man they say shot three people early Sunday morning.
Decatur police say the shooting happened at the Street Fury motorcycle club in Decatur after a disturbance broke out around 4:30 a.m.
During the disturbance, police say Norris J. Guillot III opened fire, wounding three people.
According to officials, the victims were Joshua Kirkland, 26; Sharon Kirkland, 46; and Anthony Strong, 21.
All three were taken to hospitals in Decatur. Joshua Kirkland was later transferred to Huntsville Hospital and is expected to survive. Conditions of the other two victims have not been released.
A neighbor says the motorcycle club is relatively new, and the building used to house a beauty salon. Eric Ayers said his neighborhood is still a safe one.
"I love this area; (it) is very attractive, peaceful," Ayers said. "It's a beautiful place to raise a family."
Ayers said that in any neighborhood, you have to be aware of your surroundings, and he believes the shooting was an isolated incident.
Guillot is considered to be armed and dangerous. He may be driving a white 2005 Chevy Avalanche, tag number 25BC536.
If anyone has any info about his whereabouts, please contact Decatur Police at (256) 341-4660.
