1 arrested after sheriff's office delivers marijuana to home

LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Four people were detained and one arrested after the Limestone County Sheriff's Office made a marijuana delivery.

The Limestone County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security conducted a controlled delivery of a package sent from Mexico to a home on Copeland Road. The package contained approximately 9.5 pounds of marijuana concealed inside consumer products.

Four people were at the home when agents delivered the package. Agents and deputies detained those four people who accepted the package and took them to the sheriff's office.

After conducting an investigation, investigators arrested Modesto Garcia for trafficking marijuana and booked him into the Limestone County Jail.
