Guntersville shop owner picks up pieces after gun heist

GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - An active search is underway to find several guns stolen from a Marshall County gun shop.

Authorities also believe there could be more arrests. Guntersville police do not believe the lone suspect in the case acted alone.

Meanwhile, the shop owner is now trying to put his shop back in order.

Command Tactical LLC is now boarded up as owners try to put their business back in order.

In newly released video, the suspect is seen ramming a stolen truck through the front door and then passes by some tactical weapons and instead takes about a dozen handguns.

Kasey Joe Cormier, 26, has been charged with the crime.

Meanwhile, owner Barry Harbin says display cases and other items were damaged or destroyed in the incident.

Besides the loss of the stolen items, Harbin says it's costing him future business until the building can be made secure again.

"People are coming in wanting firearms," he said. "Right now we're not selling firearms. We could, but we have chosen not to put anything out until the building is repaired, to keep anybody from coming through the makeshift wall that we have at present."

Harbin hopes the building will be secure again by the end of next week.
