HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A Huntsville teen killed by a drunk driver was laid to rest today.

19-year-old Toni Piccinich was killed Friday when her car was hit by 19-year-old Christopher Ross. Ross ran a red light, killing Piccinich instantly. Police say that Ross was intoxicated at the time of the wreck.

Friends of Piccinich said it has been a hard couple of days, and it had not fully sunk in that she's gone.

Binh Nguyen said she and Toni had a lifetime worth of adventures ahead of them.

"We planned to go to school together, go to California together, travel the world," Nguyen said.

Now Binh is left to make those memories alone. "It crushed my heart," Nguyen said. "I couldn't handle it. Still can't."

Toni bought a beautiful yellow dress to wear to a wedding last Saturday. She never got to go to the wedding or wear the dress. Instead, she was buried in the yellow dress.
