Police: Florence woman arrested for chemical endangerment to a child

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) - A Florence woman was arrested for chemically endangering a child back in April.

Florence Police Officers responded to a home on Midway Street after receiving a medical assist call for an unresponsive female.

When officers arrived at the home they found a 25-year-old woman in the floor getting medical attention while her mother, Sylvia Pounders, was sitting on the couch. A 9-year-old girl was also found on the floor.

Pounder told officers that they had been smoking spice.

Pounders was arrested for chemical endangerment to a child, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of certain chemical compounds.
