LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Voters in Lawrence County will decide the future of funding for their schools Tuesday.

A special vote will be held on a proposal to raise about two million dollars a year for schools.

The increased property tax revenue would be earmarked and would stay in Lawrence County.

The superintendent says this increase would fill the gap of revenue lost when International Paper closed.
