MADISON, AL (WAFF) - Huntsville Utilities reported power outages affecting residents in Madison and Triana Saturday night.

The outage happened around 8 p.m. and stretched from Highway 72 south to the Tennessee River and from the Limestone County line east to Redstone Arsenal.

Huntsville Utilities said crews were able to restore power to most customers within about an hour of the outage. However, some residents told us their power remained off for some time afterward.

At about the same time Huntsville Utilities announced the restoration of the initial outage, another was reported - this time affecting areas around Huntsville International Airport, including James Record, Glenn Hearn, County Line, Hangar, and several adjoining streets in the area.

This outage area was reported to be restored shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday.

A cause of the disruptions is not known at this time.
