HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - One Tennessee Valley couple was startled by a "long distance discovery."

They left home, but left their security camera on. And on it, two people are seen inside the home after kicking in the door.

This happened the evening of March 5 on Glenridge Court in Huntsville.

The crooks went into the couple's bedroom and stole several thousand dollars worth of jewelry.

The victim and his wife were visiting friends in Florida. But he was able to see this happening live on the internet.

One of the first things he did was set off the alarm. You can't hear it on the surveillance video, but when that alarm went off the two crooks couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Now since the home was dark, the video isn't extremely clear. But before they left, one of the burglars tries to help us. He walked over and picked up the camera, staring straight into it.

Do you know who is responsible? We could put some green in your pocket if you shed some light on this darkly-lit crime.
