Police arrest 8 after undercover anti-prostitution operation

MADISON, AL (WAFF) - Madison police arrested eight people during an anti-prostitution operation on Thursday.

Police conducted an undercover operation in response to complaints about prostitution occurring in some Madison motels. In each case, the offender used social media to communicate and arrange to exchange sexual acts for money, with an undercover officer.

Subjects arranged to meet the undercover officer in a predetermined motel, where further arrangements were made between the suspects and the undercover officer. All suspects were arrested and taken to the Madison County Jail.

Brett Bonnell, 49 of Athens, Kendall Blaxton, 58 of Danville, Eric Matthews, 44 of New Market, Jessica Fletcher, 31 of Huntsville, Jose Roman, 40 of Albany, Georgia, and Frederick Jefferson, 30 of Madison, were arrested for soliciting prostitution and booked into the Madison County Jail, each on a $343 bond.

Amanda Farley, 33 of New Market, was arrested for soliciting prostitution and unlawful possession of controlled substance. She was booked into the Madison County Jail on a $2,843 bond.

James Lambert, 39, was arrested for prohibited activity soliciting prostitution, unlawful possession of controlled substance, tampering with evidence, and resisting arrest. He was booked into the Madison County Jail on a $4,500 bond.
