HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Fire crews were busy with several calls early Monday morning about possible lightning strikes.
Investigators went to at least three scenes in Madison after a violent thunderstorm popped up just before 2:30 a.m.
A tree was reported hit on Raspberry Way. A few blocks away on Dexter Circle, firefighters checked out a home after the owner reported a lightning strike and seeing smoke inside.
About an hour later, another home owner saw smoke after an apparent lightning strike on Reserve Way, just about two miles south of the previous two calls.
Investigators said no one was hurt, and there is no confirmation that the homes were hit by lightning yet.
