Police: 7 arrested in Morgan Co. drug bust

MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - The Morgan County Drug Task Force Agents, along with Lawrence County Drug Task Force, Huntsville STAC Agents, Hartselle Police and Morgan County Deputies responded to the 1600 block of West Main Street in Hartselle Wednesday.

Agents responded to the home with a narcotics search warrant after an eight month long investigation on several people at the home.

During the investigation, agents found that Frankie Jo Whitworth, 45, was leading a large methamphetamine cooking operation at the home.

Agents also discovered that as many as 10 different people were bringing cold pills containing pseudoephedrine to the home to be cooked into methamphetamine.

They also found that several of the people believed to be in the home had outstanding felony warrants related to meth.

When agents arrived at the home they discovered Whitworth, Travis Earl Smith, 39, Jennifer Tudor, 37, Jason Wayne Weeks, 39, Marcus Dean, 32, and Jamie Tokarz, 30, inside. Glenn Dale Anderson, 37, was at work and Morgan County Deputies when to his place of employment and arrested him there.

According to authorities, Smith and Tudor attempted to run out of the back door but were detained before they could make it outside.

Agents found several baggies of methamphetamine packaged for resale, acid, lye, fuel, coffee filters, cold packs, rubber tubing, digital scales, pill grinders and a burnt meth lab in a burn pile inside of the home.

DHR was also called to the scene when agents discovered a 11-year-old and a 14-year-old inside of the home. Rock Creek VFD was also called to bring their child decon trailer to decontaminate the children before placing them in foster care. Hartselle Fire was called to decontaminate the adults.

Frankie Jo Whitworth was charged with first degree unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance- methamphetamine, felony possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of drug endangerment of a child, plus two distribution warrants. She is being held on a $670,000.

Travis Earl Smith was charged with first degree unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance- methamphetamine and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. Smith also had a felony warrant for a previous manufacture charge in Lawrence County. He is being held on a $520,000 bond.

Jennifer Tudor was charged with first degree unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance- methamphetamine and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. She also had a felony warrant from a previous manufacture charge in Lawrence County. She is being held on a $520,000 bond.

Glenn Dale Anderson was charged with first degree unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance- methamphetamine and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on a $270,000 bond.

Jason Wayne Weeks was charged with second degree unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance. He was out on bond when he was apprehended for previous meth charges. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Marcus Dean was charged with second degree unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Jamie Tokarz was charged with loitering in a drug house. She is being held on a $300 bond.

Authorities are seeking other suspects in connection with this operation and more arrests are expected to follow.
