RUSSELLVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The case against two of the five people accused of a home invasion is headed to a grand jury.
A preliminary hearing was held today for Cindy and Preston Behel.
They, along with Savanna Sage, Taylor White, and Bobby Behel are accused of stealing items from a home on Vincent Drive in Russellville last month.
Investigators say they held the homeowner at gunpoint.
Franklin County District Attorney Joey Rushing says they're working to move the case forward.
"When it's a very, very important case that involvs some serious offenders that do something so brazen as to allegedly go into someone's house and rob them at gunpoint, then we want to try to move them on as fast as possible," Rushing explained, "so that our evidence will be fresh and our witnesses recollection will be fresh."
Sage and White have not requested a preliminary hearing yet.
Bobby Behel is in custody in Georgia.
Authorities are working to bring him back to Alabama soon.
