HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A & M Grocery in Athens scored a 78. The Limestone County Health Department reports they were using damaged fryer baskets, the drink nozzles needed to be cleaned, and there was an open water bottle sitting above a food prep area.
An 84 for B & S Grocery in Athens. The inspector reports there was just one critical violation during the inspection as the store lost points because of a damaged fryer basket.
Also in Athens, Suzanne's Bakery and Eatery scored an 83. The inspector reports some sausage balls were 60 degrees below the temperature required for hot-holding food. Suzanne's also lost points because a worker made bare hand contact with ready to eat food.
The Subway on Oakwood Avenue in Huntsville is one of four Kitchen Cops High Performers this week. They scored a 99. So did the Five Guys Burgers on North Memorial Parkway in Huntsville.
Odette in Florence is a High Performer for the second time. Last time, they scored a perfect 100. This time, they earned a 98.
And Montagu's, also in Florence, also scored a 98.
