ATHENS, AL (WAFF) - Athens police said a man took nearly $700 worth of jewelry from a Walmart display case.
Christopher Griswold was arrested Tuesday on a second-degree theft warrant.
The incident happened January 22, when Walmart employees located several empty jewelry cases in the department.
The theft was captured on security video. Police were able to identify Griswold by comparing the video footage with his state identification photo.
Police said Griswold took eight pendants and two charms, valued at $690.
Griswold was booked and transferred to the county jail.
