Police: Lawrence Co. man arrested during drug bust

LAWRENCE COUNTY, TN (WAFF) - Narcotic investigators with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department concluded an investigation of methamphetamine trafficking and distribution on Jan. 22.

Investigators with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, along with investigators from the Lawrenceburg Police Department executed a warrant to search a home located at 69 Martin Road in Lawrenceburg, TN.

During the search, investigators found 5 ounces of methamphetamine, 28 Suboxone strips, prescription medication and several items of drug paraphernalia.

Police also seized two handguns, a pistol grip shotgun, a rifle and $5,000. 

Kip Charles Bonner, 51, was found in the home attempting to flush narcotics down the toilet and all the methamphetamine was found in the bathroom along with packaging for resale.

Bonner was charged with possession of methamphetamine and Suboxone for resale, possession of Xanax for resale, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bonner was booked into the Lawrence County Detention Center and held on a $47,000 bond. He has since posted bond and is scheduled to appear in Lawrence County General Sessions Court in upcoming weeks.
