HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Admit it. When you send or receive items using your home mailbox, you feel pretty safe, right?

Nobody's going to mess with the mail, you may think.

Well, this week's Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers subject might have you questioning that theory.

A man stole money by using a forged check in the drive-though at the Redstone Federal Credit Union on Lawson Ridge in Huntsville Dec. 12..

Where did this crook get this check?

According to police, he stole it from the victim's mailbox, of all things.

Then he forged the victim's signature to cash the check.

The only "good" to come out of this crime is the "better than good" shot of the crook on bank surveillance at the drive-through.

The pictures we have are probably better than a mug shot, which this guy will most definitely be posing for next, with your help of course.

He's wanted for theft of property and forgery.

Do you know him? His crime could make you some big money if you do

You can make an anonymous phone call to 256-53-Crime.

Or you can text or e-mail your anonymous tips.

To see how to do that, go to our website, waff.com, click Crime Stoppers, then the Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers link to see how.

There's a reward of up to $1,000 in easy money.

Not to mention, legitimate money.
