Police: Victim fires shot during robbery

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) - Officers responded to a robbery call on North Broadway Street at around 7:45 p.m. Monday night.
According to the victim, a man knocked on the door and entered the home once the door was opened. He entered in a threatening manner as if he was reaching for a weapon, according to the victim.
The victim wrestled with the man and he took a handgun out of the man's waistband. The man then fled out of the home.
The victim said he fired one shot causing the man and two more men outside the home to run.
Investigators are looking into this incident to determine if it is connected to a drive-by and robbery incident that also happened on Monday night.
