LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Lauderdale County's new Sheriff was sworn in during a ceremony Sunday.
Sheriff Rick Singleton was once Chief of Florence Police, and ran against Lexington Police Chief Augie Hendershot in the 2014 elections.
Ronnie Willis, the outgoing sheriff, did not seek re-election.
Singleton is Lauderdale County's first new sheriff in more than a decade. Also sworn in at Sunday's ceremony was Chief Deputy Richard Richey.
