Woman arrested for attempting to give away child at Walmart

ATHENS, AL (WAFF) - Saturday evening, police responded to Walmart in Athens after reports of a woman trying to giveaway a young child at the store.

Investigators said that the intoxicated Sebrina Ann Thompson was not the child's mother, however, she was a relative of the child.

Thompson is charged with endangerment of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The child is now back with the parents.

The woman was arrested and taken to the Limestone County Jail.
