ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) - An Albertville man is in custody following a home burglary Tuesday. Police said they caught him red handed.

Johnny Ray Hollis, 41, of Albertville was arrested late Tuesday morning and was charged with third degree burglary.

Police said they received a call from an alarm company around 10:45 Tuesday morning concerning an alarm call at a home in the 700 block of Baltimore Avenue.

Responding officers found Hollis looking for anything of value.

"I think he was kind of taken back with the fact that the officers showed up." said Albertville Police Department Assistant Chief Jamie Smith. "Of course, when they first announced their presence it was obviously at gunpoint. He was taken into custody without incident."

Hollis remains in the Albertville City Jail awaiting transport to the Marshall County Jail.

His bond has not yet been set.
