LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely took the oath of office for the ninth time at a ceremony held Tuesday.

Blakely has been the county's sheriff for 32 years. He says the people who work for him are a big part of why he's won every election starting in 1982.

Blakely says he hasn't ruled out a re-election run in 2018.

He says a main objective for this term will be to continue upgrading the sheriff office's technology.
