Fire at vacant Huntsville home under investigation

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Huntsville Fire & Rescue was called to the scene of a structure fire Monday night.
The call went out for crews to battle a house fire on the 3500 block of Dubose Street off Drake Avenue just before 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Crews had the flames extinguished within a half-hour. The back of the home sustained heavy damage.
Officials said the home was vacant at the time and had no power connected. The owner of the home was contacted.
No injuries were reported; an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
