Child removed from house after drug bust near Rainsville

RAINSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Wednesday, The Department of Human Resources removed a 14-month-old child from a house that was searched by members of the DeKalb County Drug Task Force.

Agents searched a house located on County Road 876 near Rainsville after receiving information from members of the community of suspicious traffic at the home. During the search, agents found prescription drugs, methamphetamine, marijuana, spice, and drug paraphernalia.

Officials arrested four people as a result of the search.

Kimberly Moore, 40, of Rainsville was charged with child endangerment, trafficking in synthetic cannabinoids, unlawful possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana in the first degree, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Keva Peek, 35, of Section was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Joseph Clem, 30, of Hixson Tennessee was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana in the first degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jonathan Mcelroy, 36, of Fyffe was charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
