HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Alabama State Troopers stopped by Huntsville Hospital on Wednesday with a special delivery.

Troopers donated dozens of teddy bears that will be given out to children who will have to spend the holidays in the hospital. The teddy bears were made available by the Alabama State Troopers  Association, which purchases them with funds donated by the public.

"Anytime we can bring a smile to a child's face, we certainly enjoy doing that," explains Trooper Curtis Summerville.

Alabama State Troopers have handed out teddy bears during the holidays for over 20 years.
