DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - Investigators with the Decatur Police Department's Organized Crime Unit started an investigation that was connected to a male identified as Dyron Rashad Primus.
Investigators found that Primus used a home on the 500 block of Westwood Dr. to store and distribute synthetic cannabinoids, or spice.
Thursday, investigators executed a search warrant at the home. Officers located Primus and found the he had of a large amount of spice and drug paraphernalia.
Joseph Wayne Hine was also identified and was found to be in possession of marijuana.
Primus and Hine were arrested and transported to the Decatur City Jail. Primus was charged with trafficking in synthetic controlled substances, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hine was charged with possession of marijuana in the second degree.
Primus will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $10,500 bond.
Hine's bond was set at $500.
