Kitchen Cops; nine inspections, two low performers, one perfect score

MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - A&D Xpress Restaurant in Guntersville scored an 83. The Marshall County Health Department reports there were two critical violations during the inspection. The inspector reported they were using damaged equipment, and workers need to take the approved food safety course because their certification has expired.

Sakkio Japan in the Madison Square Mall food court scored a 75. The inspector reported the inside of the ice machine was not clean, and several drinks were sitting on food prep tables.

The Elkmont Truck Stop scored a 67 last time, but scored an 85 when the inspector came back, just enough to get off of the Limestone County Health Department's reinspection schedule.

The Jack's in Sheffield nearly went from low to high performer, rising 14 points, scoring a 97 during their reinspection.

The Fiesta Mexicana in Sheffield also improved by fourteen points, scoring an 88 during their reinspection.

Aqua Restaurant, which operates out of the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Guntersville, rose 13 points, scoring a 92 during their reinspection.

Tin Top Diner in Albertville scored an 86, three points better than last time.

The Casa Mexicana in Muscle Shoals scored five points better with an 87 during their reinspection.

Congratulations to the staff at the Lawlers Barbecue Express on Balch Road in Madison for keeping it clean. They had no violations during their inspection while scoring a perfect 100, making them a Kitchen Cops High Performer.
