Athens High School stabbing victim released from hospital
ATHENS, AL (WAFF) - Tarik Malone, the victim in the stabbing at Athens High School, has been discharged from Huntsville Hospital.
Police said another student, Rashaun Anderson, stabbed Malone in the field house at the school's football stadium on Oct. 28. They said the weapon used was a 3-inch pocketknife.
Tarik's family said he lost a kidney and part of his colon as a result of the stabbing.
Anderson was charged with second-degree assault and released from jail on $5,000 bond.
He has a preliminary hearing set for Nov. 18.
