BOAZ, AL (WAFF) - According to Sheriff Todd Entrekin, a Boaz man has been arrested in connection with a burglary this month.
Rickey Ray Amos, 32, allegedly broke into a residence on Warrior Valley Road on Monday, steeling several items totaling more than $1,350.
Deputies found a flashlight engraved with the name "Rickey Amos" and a wallet containing Amos' driver's license when they arrived on the scene. Deputies also recovered a vehicle registered to Amos with all of the stolen items inside just a short distance from the residence.
Amos was found inside of a Marshall County residence in possession of two handguns, which is a violation of his probation, on Tuesday. He was taken into custody and charged with one count of third degree burglary and one count of second degree theft of property. He was also charged with ex-felon in possession of a firearm.
Amos is being held at the Marshall County Jail at this time and will be transferred to Etowah County at a later time.
