Franklin Co. results: Oliver to remain as Sheriff

FRANKLIN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Sheriff Shannon Oliver will remain in that office following Tuesday's election.
With 96 percent of votes counted, Oliver held 78 percent of the vote over challenger John Cantrell.
Veronica Copelan Stancil won the race for County Revenue Commissioner with a 57-43 percent lead.
Pat Cochran looks set to hold the District 3 seat on the Franklin County Board of Education. With provisional ballots left to count, Cochran has 62 percent of the vote over opponent Scotty Raper.
