COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - A Colbert County woman who participated in a deadly home invasion will find out how long she will spend in prison.
A judge sentenced Krystal Riddle, Thursday afternoon, to 20 years in prison.
Originally charged with felony murder, prosecutors reduced Riddle's charges to second degree robbery in exchange for testimony against the other suspects in the case.
Riddle addressed the court saying she's sorry and ashamed of her actions.
Prosecutors said she drove the get away car the night Damien Shipley shot and killed Dorian Hamilton at a home on Sterling Boulevard in Sheffield in 2013.
Investigators said Shipley fired the fatal shot last February killing Dorian Hamilton. His sentencing date has been set for Nov. 18.
Two other suspects in the case were sentenced for their involvement earlier this year.
LaDonte Montgomery pleaded guilty to robbery first and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Fernando King pleaded guilty to murder, he is serving a life sentence.
A jury convicted Shipley of capital murder last month.
