Huntsville Animal Services is asking the community to adopt pets.

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Huntsville Animal Services has expanded its adoption kennels to allow room for more dogs and puppies to be available to the community for adoption.

The shelter is currently full with large and small breed dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens that need immediate adoption.

There are more than 30 cats and kittens and almost 50 dogs and puppies that need to move out of the shelter as quickly as possible. The shelter is out of room for new stray dogs and cats.

The shelter is asking for Madison County residents to visit the shelter to adopt a pet.

Black coated dogs are $10 and cats and kittens are $5. The pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given rabies vaccination and city license tag.

Huntsville Animal Services located at 4950 Triana Boulevard in Huntsville, west of South Memorial Parkway and Airport Road.

Adoption hours are on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, you can call 256-883-3782 or 256-883-3783.
