ARDMORE, AL (WAFF) - A man is dead after two men say he jumped off a train in Limestone County.
The accident stopped train travel for about 4 hours, but it's picked back up since then.
Investigators say Thursday night three men jumped on a train in Decatur.
Around 9:45 p.m. one of the men called 911 from the train, saying that one of them jumped off.
Investigators notified the train company, CSX, and they stopped the train in Ardmore.
Ardmore police located the two men and detained them for questioning.
Limestone county deputies searched the area and advised conductors to slow down and be on the lookout for someone near the tracks.
They eventually got a call from a conductor.
Deputies found a man dead in between Elkmont and Ardmore near upper Fort Hampton Road.
Limestone County's Coroner took the man's body to the Alabama Dept of Forensics for an autopsy.
The two men haven't been charged with anything yet.
