KILLEN, AL (WAFF) - If you're out and about for a solid spooking, North Alabama has many fine attractions to whet your appetite.
In fact, one haunted house in Lauderdale County has just achieved national acclaim.
Arx Mortis in Killen landed a spot on USA Today's list of the 10 best haunted houses in the nation.
'Providing guests with 50,000 square-feet of nightmare-scapes, animatronics and professional actors, this haunted house is sure to rouse any personal phobias and even create a few,' the newspaper described.
Arx Mortis was previously awarded a similar accolade in 2010 by travelogue publishers Rand McNally.
