MADISON, AL (WAFF) - He's received almost every football award imaginable throughout his four years at Madison Academy.
Wednesday, Kerryon Johnson was recognized yet again with something that just might top all of his accolades, being recognized nationally for his outstanding play on the gridiron.
The high school senior was named an Under Armour All-American at a ceremony on-campus. He is one of 90 seniors that will play in the annual all-star game, which showcases the top talent in the country.
Johnson is rated as one of the top players in the state of Alabama and the country, which the man himself said is a high standard to live up to - but one he intends to continue to uphold.
The Under Armour All-America Game is scheduled for Jan. 2 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg Florida. It will be televised live on ESPN2.
