FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) - More than a half a dozen guns are unaccounted for on the streets after an overnight home invasion in Florence.

It happened at a home on South Crown Street just before 1:00a.m. on Tuesday.

That's on the east side of town.

There are a total of 7 guns that were stolen from the home.

The victim tells Police he was hanging out with some friends when this happened.

He says a masked man entered his home holding a revolver demanding items from inside.

Police say the masked man took all of the firearms in the home, which included several pistols, a couple shotguns and rifles.

They say he rolled the guns in a bed sheet to carry out.

Police say the suspect hit the victim in the head with his revolver before leaving the scene in a silver impala.

They believe the masked man had someone with him.

The Florence Police Department said, "Our next step will be to check local pawn shops we're going to focus on some people that may know he had weapons there."
