Huntsville Animal Services holds pet adoption event

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Huntsville Animal Services is extending their hours to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays to make adopting a cat or dog convenient for residents. The shelter receives 15 to 20 new animals to adopt every day on average. These Animals need to go to a good home.

The Animal Service is sponsoring "Take Home Tuesdays," an adoption gala, to celebrate their longer hours on Tuesday, Aug. 12, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

There will be snacks for the whole family, activities for the children, and a treasure of delights. The main event will be the shelters adorable animals with the reduced adoption fee of $35 for cats and $50 for dogs.

The shelter is located at 4950 Triana Boulevard in Huntsville, west of South Memorial Parkway and Airport Road.

The regular adoption hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The shelter hours for Tuesday will be from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
