DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - DeKalb County deputies arrested three people following the discovery of meth labs in the Whiton community.

Investigators served a search warrant on the home, and discovered drug paraphernalia, two meth labs, as well as a quantity of finished meth.

Bobby Loyd Sanders of Geraldine, Regina Wiggins of Guntersville, and Travis Matthew Newman of Guntersville were all charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, as well as manufacturing.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris said they have seen an increase in burglaries in the Whiton area that led to information about the meth operation. He said they are still looking for any other suspicious people or activities in the community.
