Woman accidentally shot at Huntsville home

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A Huntsville woman is recovering from injuries sustained after an accidental shooting Thursday evening.
It happened on the 2700 block of Atlantic Street just after 7:30 p.m.
A man told officers he was showing the victim a handgun when it accidentally went off, striking the woman in the leg.
The woman was taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. She was in stable condition during her transport to the hospital.
