MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Multiple emergency crews responded to the scene of a wreck involving an 18-wheeler Thursday morning in Morgan County.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Hoyt Henry Road and Highway 67. Authorities said the wreck was a head-on collision between an 18-wheeler and a truck. The 18-wheeler went off the road and caught fire. The semi-truck was carrying seed at the time of the wreck.
Both drivers refused treatment. No injuries were reported.
The 18-wheeler's diesel tank ruptured in the crash, leaving fuel into a nearby stream. The EPA is expected to respond to the scene later to investigate.
A portion of Highway 67 South was closed while crews worked to clear the scene.
