High speed chase suspect caught

MADISON, AL (WAFF) - Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a high speed chase that happened early on Saturday morning.

Police said a man stole a truck with a motorcycle in the bed a little after 5 a.m. Madison police began chasing him at Wall Triana Highway and Madison Boulevard.

The suspect drove onto I-565 and the bike fell out of the back of the truck.

Police said the suspect reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. He drove through a fence, ditched the truck, and ran off behind the Harley Davidson dealership. He was caught at the dealership.

Limestone County Sheriff's Office assisted in the search with a helicopter. K9 units also aided in the search.

The suspect's car is being processed for evidence.
