Marijuana, pills, guns seized in traffic stop

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - One man was arrested after a traffic stop in Lawrence County resulted in a drug bust.
Agents found a large amount of high grade marijuana, prescription pills, and handguns following a traffic stop on Highway 20 in Hillsboro.
Authorities arrested Cory Andrew Hale, 27, of Florence. Hale was charged with first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
According to Sheriff Gene Mitchell, Hale confessed to agents about selling marijuana. Mitchell said the marijuana seized had a street value of $1,200 to $1,500.
Hale was booked into the Lawrence County Jail and released on a $6,000 bond.
