DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - The National Weather Service confirmed two more tornadoes hit DeKalb County on April 28.

The EF-2 and EF-1 tornadoes were confirmed Tuesday by the Huntsville office of the NWS. This brings the total number of tornadoes during the April 28-29 event in the Tennessee Valley to nine.

The EF-2 tornado was plotted in the Pine Ridge community near Fort Payne, and the EF-1 tornado in the Shiloh area, which also tracked into the Higdon community in Jackson County.

NWS officials previously confirmed an EF-3 tornado struck the county in the Aroney community.
